Patty Lakin, one of our favorite authors (a favorite neighbor, too!) visits Bank Street Book Store February 18 at 10:30 a.m. for Saturday story time. Patty has written many children's books that already fill our shelves, and now there are new titles to add: "Skateboards" and "Bicycles" among them. These two titles are part of a series of books about everyday objects beautifully designed, crafted by hand, and of great interest to readers from eight to 12 years old. Hear Patty reveal the secrets of good design through words, photographs, and illustrations that create understanding and appreciation. For the youngest listeners, Patty will share one of her delightful Max and Mo stories, making this event truly fun for all ages.
